Way better than I thought

I stopped going to school since Tuesday. There were very few students in the last days, girls were studying for the finals alone and have left school to concentrate well. And I decided I should do that too since my sister will have a baby soon and I will be so busy to concentrate.
I keep trying to remember what it was like for me in the third grade, how I spent my time studying and all.. But I do not seem to recall anything that is not written in my diary.
Three years ago, when I was in the third grade, the war started, and my whole world turned upside down. I remember getting busy with the receiver, the new 100s of channels I had never seen before. I watched Saved by the bell, Clueless, and one other series I can not remember the name of. It must have been hard to study. But I also remember studying all the subjects twice, and getting an average of 98 at the finals!
So, it should be normal that I'm having so much fun these day, right?
Anyway, I finished studying English yesterday, still have to study the merchant of Venice but I decided to study it with Arabic literature so I wouldn't get too bored from the latter. I started studying mathematics, finished one chapter and will finish another one today supposedly.
My relationship with Aya is way better. I drew a little baby on my hand the other day and she kissed it. I will draw another one on my face next time I see her ;)
Dad put a small fridge in my room. I filled it with food and drinks. It was a very good idea. I am gaining weight and I'm happy about it. Still have to gain 4 kilos and then I'll stop.
It was raining yesterday, and the day before.. But not as hard as it does in winter. I am confused about what to wear, I sweat in the night, and fell so cold in the morning that I want to turn on the heater.
Okay, I've got to go now. Mom is satisfied about my studying and I've got to keep things that way.

Salaam Najma
I know studying is harder in your last year at school. Insha' Allah you'll succeed.
As for the Math, do more practicing than reading. I'm sure you know that. ;-)

Hello Najma, I'm glad to see your new post. :)
So, you have hundreds of TV channels? I guess that you must have a satellite dish. It may surprise you, but I get less than 100 channels, and whats really funny is that more than half the time when I turn on the TV, there is nothing on that I want to watch! :)
I am glad that you and Aya are getting along better. Also, it sounds like Aya is accepting the idea of the new brother or sister in her family. Good luck getting another kiss from her! :)
It has also been raining a lot in Indiana the past few days. But, it is good for all the plants that are starting to bloom. I am happy that it is finally Spring! :)
Btw, did you think that my email suggestion for the library project was a good one? Just wondering.
Take care.

Nice to see a post and that you are doing well. I can't imagine trying to gain weight...wishing that I could loose some ;)
My best wishes as usual to you and all your family,

I have 4 kilos that I don't want which you are welcome to. ;-)
You write in English as if you were born in Ohio. Or Indiana. Or California. I wish our schools taught other languages so early in the curriculum. --Newsguy in California
Hello! I found your blog through an email I got about a journalist who was coming to speak at my school last week. I went to his website, and soon I found this journal from there! I enjoyed hearing your point of view from Iraq. I live in Maryland in the United States, so it was very interesting to me. I hope you are well, and I will continue to check and read your journal.
Best wishes,
Sarah

Salaam,
Happy studies!

OH MY, oh my, oh my... I am so sorry, 'Saved by the bell' I am soooo sorry, truly that is the worst of our transgressions, and the reason we occasionally (secretly) feel we deserve the "Great Satan" label.
I pray for your Peace of mind during this time, but have NO worries over the outcome, there is no doubt that you are destined for great things and this is only one of the first of the many hurdles in your life that you will fly above.
peace be with you najma.
