Do you know the pleasure of being home alone with nothing to worry about? The feeling of being FREE of obligations? No more worrying about having guests in my home...No more grocery shopping or doing laundry, running out of cold drinks or bread!!! No more cooking and serving tea and snacks all day long...Now I can Watch my own TV or not watch anything at all...I can go back to sitting in my favorite seat without being squished with others!! And best of all, no more waking up early in the morning, changing my clothes into something decent...I can literally let my hair down now!!!! I am FREE!!
The same day I said goodbye to the final guests, my husband’s cousin came with her three grown children and stayed with us for four days....She and her kids get the worst guests award...in the beginning I was kind of looking forward to her visit but then after the second day I figured her out and I could not stand her or stand looking in her face....she just took us for granted and I hated that....she has no privilege to take me for granted, only my kids can do that and I can complain about it too!!! I hate being used and taken advantage of.....Thank God she went back to her country...I just could not wait to see her leave.
The last wave of guests that came over last week were my daughter –again- and her family, including her in laws...who are not bad guests, they keep to themselves, do their own thing and if we are not going out they will venture out on their own, walking or getting around using their detailed map of the city...a lot of times they just sat around the house and read one of their many books they brought along, or use their own computers....they are not TV people at all...but still, I could not help but get bothered by few things....I had an argument with my daughter about it...I feel bad because she could not do much about it. And I regret that I had to talk to her about it. Anyway, they just left few hours ago back to their home.
I have enjoyed having Sophia and Amira here. It was great waking up at 5:30 am, feeding them and playing with them...they give the sweetest kisses that took away all the negative feelings, I am going to miss them a lot.

Thanks summer.
awwwwww.. it's ok.. house guests can be a pain to deal with.. cause if you don't treat them properly, who knows what they will think after they leave. They pretty much want an open hotel!
Anyways.. I am glad you enjoyed the time with the grand daughters!! They are so cute!! :D
Take care! :)
phew! that was very stressfull! glad u finally have your house to yourself..guests are nice...but not when there is so much of them and for a long time...im sure my monm is glad we left....i become a big baby when im home at my parent's poor mama...

Sam, i am sure your mom misses you and the kids...i can never have enough of the grandkids and my kids of course...but the grandkids are more fun to have around than adults! :)

Hi Summer, wow, now I know why you need to get out of Lebanon every once in a while. YOUR HOUSE is a destination resort and you are the manager, concierge, cook, clean and tour provider. Yikes!
But as always, so gracious, even in your gentle complaints. Minnik at3allum!
Kinzi, you are absolutely right!!
Next year I am thinking about going to Alaska for the summer holiday, no one would dare to come and bother me there!! Kidding in a way! I love having people over but this time it was too much to handle, I did not get a breather in five weeks and it was stressful at a time! Thanks for coming by.
Wow!! I'm sure you did a great job, and this will make them back again;) It's good to be free at last, so enjoy it to the maximum:)
y3teeky el 3afyeh :) yalla enjoy your peaceful time now, before it gets all busy again.. i need some of this time..its still hectic around me and i need some rest..
Good morning dear :)
Glad you feel better...
I really missed u around.
Have a great day and hugs& kisses for you and the girls :)
Summer, I do the feeling. I love that feeling! I don't think I can stand one long month of having guest in my home. If they're not my children, I'd prefer it to be 3 days or less. I get all stressed up over nothing. I worry about things I normally don't worry.
I know exactly how that relief feels like...especially after you've gotten all the mess cleaned up.
Summer,
I'm wishing some peaceful moments and quiet hours on you...you sound like you really could use to do your own thing! I know how you feel; you're so excited that people are coming a long way to visit, and then the personalities start clashing! The ones who take advantage should not be invited back!
BTW, your daughter is beautiful, and so are the girls! You must enjoy them so much.
Nido, thanks for coming by. i missed you reading here and posting on your blog!
