Urgent plea to Israeli IDF Pilots

Dear IDF Pilots:

Before strapping on your F16's, F15's and Apache helicopters, and embarking on a mission to destroy "Targets" as you've been briefed. I urge you to read and remember this plea.

The word "Target" is being used to galvanize your emotions as humans. To think that you're only carrying out your missions. I am afraid this term has been used to abstract the truth.

The truth is, your "Targets" are people. Human beings. Just like you. Children like your children, Women like your women, and men like yourselves. And like your families. They have lives and dreams and aspirations.

True, many people in the Arab world hate you, hate your very existence. But you don't see every single one of them, holding a knife and vowing to slaughter you and your family in the same systematic methodical way that your government is trying to convince you to achieve.

People's lives have been destroyed. They life long dreams perscheid. They're being driven more and more into fanaticism and fundamentalism. They have nothing else. They have no where else to resort.

I ask you in the name of humanity. I plea to you in the name of God. In the name of God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel) and Moses. I appeal to your inner humans. Stop this atrocities.

Do you think the faces of the dead, maimed and mutilated bodies will leave you alone? Do you believe they're not going to haunt you till the last day of your life? Do you think they're not going to come back to you in your dreams?

Yes, you're not seeing their faces when you're extinguishing their lives, but do you think their faces and their souls will not manage to find their way to your dreams and your life?

I'm not going to provoke you or anyone with some of the most atrocious pictures ever seen by humans. Because you probably already saw these.

Make a difference. Stop the killing. Stop the bloodshed. Light a candle, Start with your own self, and tell all your comrades. Stop this craziness. Defy your orders to kill the innocent. Take a stand against the war machine.

This is your chance, to make a difference. Step up, and obey your humanity, and let everyone know, and your superiors, that you refuse to kill any more civilians.
