Battling with huggorm

Yesterday morning, I was demolishing the roof of an old storage room in the woods, hoping to renovate the place, make it a little more spacious, and use it for different purposes. I finished taking off the wood top on one side of the roof, and once I started with the otherside, I found something unexpected.
Huggorm. a mighty black snake.
She was 10 centemeter thick, and I couldn't figure out its length, because most of its length was hidden under the wood. Damn, she scared me. I grabbed a long wood, and collected the remnants of my cowardness and hid them behind a brave facade, and starting beating around the bushes, trying to find huggorm again, and vanquish the beast for eternity.
Then she came crawling onto the stick, I started beating it against the ground, and it suffered serious damage on its body, before she fled the scene, never to return again. Huggorm was defeated, yet still alive.
Later, Henry, a buddy of mine and the music writer in our band 'decending', came by with the two fishing rods. We came upon a nearby lake around 8 in the evening, and found an abandoned lifeboat filled with water and stains. We cleaned it in the lake and took off for the hunt.
After 20 minutes of unsuccessful fishing attempts, he caught a pike. It was 50 centemter long, but he let it go, saying it was too small and it should live to grow. We kept fishing until midnight almost, enjoying the light of the midnight sun, he caught 4 more, I caught one, but we let them all go. One of them died, or we thought it did, and then when I caught it by the neck, water came out of her mouth and she was resurrected by a simple first aid trick, so we put it back in the waters to live again.
Today, it was a different game with the animals. Angel, a little icelandic horse, has been quite naughty, escaping the field where it should stay and running wildly around, and my job was to keep it inside, unsuccesful mission, big failure. Tonight we are going to a bigger lake to hunt bigger pike, or perhaps some eel, so maybe our lunch tomorrow will actually consist of snakes, this time, sea snakes.

For future reference, just so you don't get in any trouble, you should know that you are not allowed to kill huggormar. They're "fridlysta", a protected species.
Though i'm on your side, cuz i hate snakes, i don't want you to get into any trouble. So if you kill it - keep it off your blog! ;)
