I woke up this morning to the bad news of the explosion in Baabda killing the candidate to head the Lebanese army, François Al-Hajj , in case Michael Slayman is elected to be president, with no hope in the horizon of any sort!!
I see no end to this violence in Lebanon, as long as the different parties are not agreeing on anything, then Lebanon is aiming towards its self destruction. So much of these explosions and assassinations are chasing the Lebanese people out of it, to the unknown!
I used to like living here a lot, now, I cannot wait to leave. I am not happy to be feeling this way, but it is just too much to take and deal with…all I can do is huff and puff about this ugly situation…pray and hope for better things to come towards this beautiful country…this is so sad!

so sad...and i was hoping things will cool down so i can go for a visit..*sigh* im just so thankful that we are out of lebanon..and sometimes i want to chock my dad for whining and complaining about canada ....inshallah it will get better soon...7aram!
I feel trapped in this bad situation and i am not even lebanese!! May God help the Lebanese people to endure whats coming their way...so so sad!
Summer, I am so sorry. Every time I see the news with stuff like this on Lebanon, I thank God you are leaving. But then I remember how many precious people can't, what Lebanon WAS like, how little hope is left.

i came to ur blog today expecting a nice post abt last saturday and i saw this sad post...
what can i say ? just nothing in front of death all the mouthes shut and become speechless, how if this loss is just painful and it shocked us a lot ..

its so sad that this is happening,i wish lebanon will be the safe haven again.people are losing hope and losing their daily bread too which is driving them to poverty if all this wont stop now

It seems that it's not meant for us to live free, happy and safe..I don't think there is hope anymore, we haven't learned anything from the past 25 years..
We'll take it one day at a time, all I pray for now is the safety of the people I love..that's all
