2008

I hope 2008 carries with it better days to everyone. I leave predicting the future to the “specialists”! I do not believe in their predictions because life has to take its course even if Mercury is in intersecting with Mars!

I feel blessed in every way. 2007 has not been the best year for many people around the world but it has been good to me and my family. I feel content, happy and very blessed.

I am thankful that both my parents are doing well. I am also so thankful for the love, appreciation and support my husband has been awarded with while departing his post in Lebanon. I know he will be missed greatly by his employees and co-workers.

The best thing that happened in 2007, is my daughter’s move with her family to Kuwait. This meant that I do not have to travel half way around the world to visit my granddaughters! I am only two hours away and this is a great blessing.

Our move to Bahrain came in time….Living in Beirut has been stressful lately, so I consider it a blessing to move out and move on. My daughter and her family are moving to Bahrain too, this makes it double blessings…We have not lived in the same country for 13 years; it will be great to be able to see the granddaughters every day!! Also, my youngest son who is graduating in June 2008 already found a job in Bahrain and he will be starting there in August 2008. This makes it triple blessings!! What more can I ask for? Nothing!!! Except for my middle son to come and visit more often, although I know that he is happy where he is and has my blessings! He is a great kid!

Blogging is still good…I have created my cooking blog and I am very happy with it. It keeps me creative and busy. I do not cook anything now without filming it!!
Meeting my fellow bloggers Iman, Kinzi and Danah face to face in 2007 was so good, and meeting many bloggers online has always been fun…oh, connecting with “My Favorite Anonymous” was, is, really good!

My New Year resolutions depend on how fat I am! but this year I am going to stick to a work out routine, once I settle in Bahrain!

My true hopes and wishes for 2008 are the same ones every year with slight variations, depending on the world events, political situation in our region and my personal concerns. But I always hope for better days to come our way, our nation and our world.
