Al Wakeel declares war against Facebook fraud
March 31st, 2008

Today I was driving and listing to Al Wakeel’s radio show. He was so pest off when he heard that there was someone impersonates him on Facebook and communicates with females and fans in the name of Mohammed Al Wakeel. Al Wakeel denied any existence of him on Facebook or any knowledge about this website.
At the same time his friend, singer Omar Al Abdullat, sent a message saying that he also has the same problem on Facebook and there is a group which aimed to damage his image.
Immediately Al Wakeel got a phone call from the ministry of interior Mr. Eid Al Fayiz says that he is going to investigate this issue. WOW, how big this could be.
Al Wakeel promised to make a special episode of his show about Facebook. I think the next hot issue for the Jordanians is going to be Facebook frauds after the spiky “wel bantaloon el sa7el” rumors.
Well.. Mr. Wakeel, you are not the first one who got impersonated. Hundreds and hundreds of people have the same situation. I wish your victory in this war.

Ya seeeedy! The minister of interior called him at once!!! So this is an issue on the level that the minister personally should take care of!

Love it or hate it, Mr Al-Wakeel is a national figure and he’s a seriously awesome middle man when it comes to solve many problems and having someone impersonating him online may result it publishing many private information by the impersonator as people would trust him as if he’s Mr Al-Wakeel.

Personally I don’t care about his personal life, still his show has a good effect on Jordanians society and gave people another alternative place to solve there problems and save there lives.
Lets remember that the issue here is not Mohammed Al Wakeel or Omar Al Abddallat.. I believe that Facebook fraud has effected more people than those two and its becoming a serious matter.
