Traffic department has finally figured out that the existing traffic cameras are no good. As per the GTD [general traffic department], the cameras in use now are flawed and will be replaced by radar based cameras. In case you are wondering what a photo radar camera looks like here is a pic.

Since traffic department sources have indicated that there are flaws in the existing camera systems, lets see how many of you would like to question the speeding fines that you have been issued?!

As for the telephone numbers…well telecom department has issued Aug 8 as the implementation date for new telephone numbers i.e. addition of extra digit in your existing phone numbers.

• Wataniya numbers will have extra 6 in the beginning
• MTC / Zain will have extra extra 9 in the beginning
• Residential numbers will have extra 2 in the beginning

Basically all the Gold/Silver/Platinum..etc etc numbers that you would have paid a thick wad of moolah for, are no longer prime property. On the other hand many unaware [crappy] numbers will auto-magically become prime numbers with extra digit in the beginning.
