Would you get a ticket for this!?
This is the funniest thing ever!
California and Washington states have declared that starting July 1st, people driving without having a headset on will be ticketed by traffic police. Nothing major there since the good folks in Jordan have had that in effect for more than two years.
Here's what's cool! Bluetooth headset online retailer headsets.com, decided to "award" anyone who got a ticket with a FREE, (You heard it right) FREE top of the line, $149 plantronics 925 headset that you can't help but drool over no matter how many (ok, I admit I have 5 of these).

So, would you take a ticket to get a bluetooth headset?
I swear this is totally true!
In effect, if you get ticketed for talking on your cell phone without a headset while driving, pony up the $20 or $50 (depending on how many times you've been caught), then send documentation of your offense to Headsets.com.
This is totally like rewarding someone for breaking the law, while making a huge amount of publicity for your website. But scratch that last part. YOU ARE AWARDING SOMEONE FOR BREAKING THA LAW!
The $20 fine is really a great bargain if you compare it to the ~$150. I'm certain a bunch of folks will try to get caught deliberately. Who would say no for a free $130?
Who knows, this might turn out to a profitable business for another site GotMyBlueToothHeadSetForATicket.com! Where you would be able to buy, sell and exchange your premium headsets for, little over $20
In the spirit of this article, I decided to award underprivileged motorists in Jordan with....
- Get a speeding ticket and win a Falafel Sandwitch at Abu Jbara
- Fail to stop at a red traffic light for a Knafah plate from Habeeba
- Hit a pedestrian for a full plate of Mansaf at Al Quds
- Exchange your parallel parking tickets for Shawirma Sandwiches from Reem
Do I make a good promoter or what?!
