Previewing: American Teen (2008)
I just lost 2 hours of my life watching this complete worthless junk as it follows the life of five teenagers as they graduate high-school!
There's really nothing to see. I mean, one guy is so freakin boring and weird no wonder he's such an outcast!
Excuse me, but the lives of stupid, spoiled, lazy American teens is just NOT that interesting! In fact, most people around the world would envy these kids, there's no Drama here! There's no genuine struggle. There's no despair, there is no freakin story!
Every movie should have a beginning, middle, climax and end. Except this one! It's completely devoid of everything. It's like being forced to eat warm tofu with absolutely no flavor.
I heard a bunch of people snoring during this movie, it had a few, and stress on VERY FEW moments where you could maybe smile (if you try really hard) but that's about it!
Oh and what a message this movie sends to all the geek kids who are struggling with social life because they are BORING (in every way) the message is, "Get drunk, get wasted, and people will accept you" Bravo Nanette Burstein.
Another one of the characters doesn't go to school for 17 days and somehow that's OK and she goes on with whatever she wasn't doing at school! I remember you only had 5 lectures to miss before you were kicked out from school! Oh the agony ... the struggle! But the message behind is is really horrible. Yeah, you can skip half the year and still graduate high-school here. Way to go! No wonder the education system here is going to hell!
The name American Teen is totally in appropriate, it has NOTHING to do with America! The name should be: "Boring stupid Midwestern white kids in high-school" (Oh that title has more excitement than this movie!) So many times I just wanted to stand up and just leave, and I should have!
Waste your money on anything else! Waste your time watching the wall. You might not gain anything from watching the wall, but you will definitely feel you wasted 85 minutes of your life watching this junk!

I feel that they pander to highschoolers and show as if it is the most important thing in the world ... maybe if i was in highschool i might care a bit .. but other than that .. they are worthless IMHO.

That's exactly my idea too. It's not like as stressful as Tawjihi is. It's high school. One girl graduated while being off school for A MONTH!
This is a docu-drama .. so go figure!
