I Miss Home!

Wherever home is! I have been traveling too much since November, with a move in the middle that I have been feeling out of place and away from "home".
In the past four weeks my husband and I have been hopping around cities, in airports dealing with some delays and running in terminals catching flights. I have been missing out on sleep, setting up alarms to catch very early flights or very late ones...I am tired and I miss home!
We were in Sharm Al Shaikh and Cairo at the end of May, then back to Bahrain for less than two weeks to leave again to Rome and Taormina. Later I went back to Bahrain for two nights only, which was nice since my daughter had an early birthday party for the girls, but also I was busy doing laundry and packing for a longer trip, t
o leave to Beirut for two nights to attend my youngest son's "Teacher's Oath ceremony" which went very well...We are so proud of our youngest making it out of college and already finding a job as a teacher...we know he is going to make a great teacher and I do believe that he made the right choice by choosing this profession.

We left to London for two nights to attend the Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert that was held at Hyde Park and that was a fun event to go to...It was actually a blast and lots of fun despite the cool weather, the early flights, the lack of sleep and standing up for at least five hours listening to music...the whole concert was great, full of energy and fun, great music and greater messages but the best part had to be the last one when Queen sang many of their old time favorites and IT WAS GREAT! Their performance was worth all the trouble to get there...it was worth all the effort and the loss of sleep.

We had to catch a flight the next morning at 6 am to Paris then back to Beirut to attend my son's official graduation ceremony that evening and attend a late dinner party the same night, that turned out to be fun seeing many of our acquaintances . After sleeping for couple of hours, I had to wake up the next day at 5 am to catch another early flight to Amman for a family visit...Here I am "sleepless in Amman" blogging! It has been nice seeing my parents and spending time with them, also visiting with both my sisters, their kids and grandkids...I just love being around them, they are so much fun. In couple of days I will be leaving to Chicago for my "summer vacation". It will be nice to spend few weeks at home with my kids, grand kids and the extended family...I am so looking forward to empty my suitcases and just sleep in my own bed, on my own pillow and not worry about catching another flight for at least some time. Have a good night!
