Sparkling!!
A sparkling new sever has taken the huge burden of hosting this blog!
Dual Quad-core XEON, 2GB EEC-RAM, tons of HD space, running Windows Server 2008 with SQL 2005, IIS 7 and every bell and whistle out there...
Can you feel the blazing speed!? It's still processing 70GB worth of logs, and 53GB worth of SQL files. But should be done soon!
The new IIS7 is amazing, it looks and feels awesome! I'm telling you this this looks great, and things are categoriesed differently!
Although I know my way around II6.0 blindfolded it didn't take me that long to find my way around II7. Few minutes later, I was up, and running. Loading my whole spam database in couple of seconds (compared to 3 minutes in the old server)
I know this is a geeky post, but I still get to gloat a bit and marvel at the awesome new server :), it's worth an arm and a leg. Or couple of tanks of gas these days! :)
I might have missed something here or there, so if you feel anything wrong PLEASE let me know.

Memories....
Where did my comment go?
eh anyway ... congrats on the new hardware and يتربوا في عزك :-) (although for some reason i thought you used a hosting company)
Yes :)
Faten
Sorry, but you commented too fast :)
Za3tar
Yeah, I didn't mention that the new server also has Visual Studio 2008 and a bunch of other cool things. I don't usually like to develop on the servers, but just in case, you never know!
Allah ybarek feek. No, I don't use a hosting company. I AM the hosting company. I host my own sites, on my own servers with my own infrastructure running my own software :) Cool isn't it!
So yeah, from the IP, to DNS, AD, WEB, Mail, routing, wifi ...etc
(oh and since you're a Suse lover, I used to do all of this on Irix, HP-UX, AIX, AT&T Unix, Redhat, Solaris ..etc ..etc ..etc :)) Now, I'm just chilling, it's only windows!
Gotta keep up to date you know!
Ya bta3 Suse :) LOL
