Yes, Ramadan is here. I went food shopping yesterday and today to make sure that I do not miss buying anything or having to go right before Iftar to get it...if I ever forget to buy anything I refuse to go and buy it the first day of Ramadan, or any day after 1 pm! I know the streets will be flooded with hungry drivers and impatient people.
I know, Ramadan is not about food, it is more about being spiritual and close to God, be the best person we can be and lend a hand to the needy and much more. I hope I can make the grade this Ramadan !I have to admit, I was kind of dreading the first day of Ramadan...I wanted to avoid cooking this day but the last minute I decided to invite 8 people over for Iftar tomorrow. Call me crazy, but I think it will be nice. I have to think of one type of sweets to make for this special Iftar.I will make sure to have the two stables on my Iftar table tomorrow, Lentil soup and Fattoush!
Have a great Ramadan everyone and many blessings to you and your families during this holy month.
As always, I wonder where I will be next Ramadan - If I live this long -!
