Ramadan TV

So since Ramadan started I've been kicking it back big time since I know my days are numbered and I will be starting work soon I have been worshipping (astagfor Allah) my TV!

Things I've noticed?
The theme of black magic is popular this year.
There seems to be a trend of using very very very odd names for the characters.
(Has the Hollywood bug caught on here?)

So everything starts after f6oor, with my mini ma6ara of green tea & my vintage Kuwait style istikana:

I'll start things off with the annual visitors who come each year to pay their ramadan greetings to the sheikh.....Look how long the line is....
How tiring is that ?!

It's a serious drama that can't go without a few comedic remarks by Abdul7sain AbdulRetha here and there. I recommend the show. You can catch it at about 7pm on Funoon, and it's also aired on KTV and Qatar TV.

Shar AlNfos on MBC only (8pm)

It's by none other than the infamous Nayif AlRashid who provided us in the past with cheap masterpieces like "AlWazeera" and the one that was banned last year "Lil Kha6aya Thaman". He writes, stars and I think directs his creations. He's like the evil spawn of Fajir AlS3eed. That said, this year he for once has taken on the good guy role. All I know is that their is black magic involved in the storyline.

These are 2 so called 'doctors' according to the storyline, I don't know about u but I haven't seen any dr's who look like that anywhere in Kuwait.

La3nat Imra'a on Scope, Dubai, Bahrain and somewhere else.

This is Zaineb Al-Askari's masterpiece, as you all know she usually writes and stars in her masterpeice's as the beautiful, kind-hearted heroin.

The name of her character = GHROOR

As u can see, the black magic theme.

I'm sorry but I could not resist posting her outfit here. These are her home clothes/pyjamas.

Basically the storyline revolves around 'ilikbariya' I dunno...I don't hate it, or like it. It's just there.

3abeer's character is called = FIYAFI ?!?!?
Huda AlKhateeb = Syoof (i think)
Another unusual name involved, 7amama not that unusual but still.

Itha wayid imthagleen ba3d ilf6or and you feel like getting rid of the extra weight than take a look at this picture of Burberry-clad Shaima Ali.

I have no complaints. Its enough that 7ayat ilFahad is in it (she also wrote it). No nonsense. Just old Kuwait and their hardships back in those days. It has an overpowering feeling of sadness like most of Om Susanne's works, but apart from that its safe to watch.

To be honest I don't like to see grown men acting like they're mentally challenge, cuz they always seem so offensive. Of course there is no comparison between the Rain Man here. But that said, there seems to be other interesting things going on apart from Dawood's antics which with time prove to be contagious and more tolerable.

Amal AlAwathi is in it and her name is = RAHA

Can't seem to get into it. So I really don't know.

I'm waiting for 3alya to grow up, I guess it will be more interesting when the real heroine comes into the picture.

At first I thought to myself how could So3ad Abdullah accept a role like this, I mean how convincing can she be? I take it all back. I'm sympathising with her already and I think this one is worth watching.

It's a Fajer AlS3eed creation airing on Fajer AlS3eed channel. Enough said. If u like to see crazy hairdo's, wigs, heavy make-up, plastic surgery gone haywire than WATCH THIS!
It has: Masha3l IlZankiwi, Badriya A7med, Mona AbdulMajeed, Saja Sabt, Barbie and a handful of newbies....y3ni lots of good times !!
Ali Jum3a's character is called = SHE3SHA3 !

Starring Huda Hussain and Jassim AlNabhan who are married and in comes Ilham Alfuthala and her mom (Amal Abaas) who try to seduce Jassim to marry her. Black magic will come into the picture soon. Its not bad, but it seems very dark and depressing cuz Huda Hussain wayid taksir ilkha6er.

It's a continuation of last years Kany O Mani and I know what ur all going to say, ish'hal sakhafa o ilme9akha. Your probably right, but to be honest after being forced to watch with a friend who taught me look past the wacky costumes and actually listen. You have to really pay attention to what they're saying and u will be surprised at the things they say and u will be laughing ur socks off.

Fawazer Waraha Waraha on AlRai only.

Starring Maysa'a Maghribi and Mahmoud Boushehri. Wallah not as bad as I thought at all. Y3ni its still fawazer so its still corny and cheesy. But they spinned it in a way that u actually learn some general knowledge about places around the world. Its even okay for kids. Safe to watch.
And Maysa'a is not hard on the eyes at all. People are saying shes too plastic, who cares, she still looks good. And she has that sexy purring voice.....so2al...how does she do that? I want to purr like that!!!!
