So last week I went to Virgin and bought magazines, a few more plain notebooks (madri laish) and ANOTHER 2009 planner. I swear I think I'm going to be the best planned person in 2009. Anyways, while at the cashier the saleslady struggled with the change, she had to return 190fils and I don't think she had enough. I wasn't paying attention and was looking around when she finally just gave up and gave me 200fils. I took it without thinking & left.

As soon as I got to my car, I started to think, why did i take the extra 10fils? Why didn't I tell her khalas keep the change? Why didnt I give her 10fils from my own change and then we would be even? I started obsessing about that 10fils clanging around in the coin compartment of my wallet.

10fils. Not mine. 10fils. Not mine. 10 fils. Not mine. 10 fils. Not mine. 10 fils.

What if the lady has to pay the 10fils out of her own pocket? By then i realised it would be really silly to go back and return the 10fils the cashier had given me out of her own will. But that 10fils kept gnawing at the back of my brain all week.

Today, 7days later, I went back to Virgin cuz I didn't like one of the notebooks I bought and wanted to exchange it for something else. When I finally chose something I went to pay for the difference and it turned out to be 890fils. So naturally I handed the cashier (a different one this time) a 1KD note. He handed me 100fils in return and as I was putting it into my wallet he told me:
"Badik itsam7eni ib 10fils lena ma3endi bil cash"
I looked at him stunned. I could tell that for a moment he was thinking to himself, whats up with this girl, is she going to cause a scene over 10fils?! I realised this and started giggling to myself and decided to explain.
"La 6ab3an 3adi, bs lama yait akhir mara ham ma kan 3indkom kharda o 3a6aitoni 10flos zyada, il7en floskom radatlikom"
"3n jad? Ya sub7an Allah!"

I couldn't stop smiling.

These are the 2 books I got. Twilight because over a handful of bloggers have posted about this book, so why not? And the other one cuz I its been so long since I read something girly and pointless.
This is the planner i got, I had one similar to this for 2007 and I couldnt find a similar one for 2008. I need something big enough to show all the days of the months but small enough to carry around. Its perfect......but let me show what really was perfect. I found this:
It's a day planner with beautiful art on every page and excerpts from all of Coelho's books. I though it would be a shame to buy it since its the kind of diary you should start using from the first day of the year. So if anyone finds the 2009 edition PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!
